Volunteers
The "You" Factor ...

This is probably the most important part of our vision statement:

The importance and need to volunteer in our community.

We all know that money is the sustainability for the future of a cause, but volunteering is the backbone or lifeblood for ensuring the longevity of the cause. Without volunteers most organizations would not exist.

We would like to create a volunteer list that would include your skills or what you would like to volunteer for.

Please fill out our online form and your info saved to our data base. In turn, we will match you with a particular organization that needs help. You decide if you can help at that time.

Ready to give back to your community? Click here to fill out our online volunteer form.

About us: Living Life Larger for others ...

Living Life Larger for others is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

MISSION

Our mission is to raise awareness and encourage the act of volunteering in our communities; and to generate revenue that benefits charities taking care of people and animals
.

OBJECTIVE

First of all, there are so many non-profit organizations needing your help every day. Living Life Larger is assisting those organizations by using our website as their VOICE to communicate their needs. We are also building our data base of volunteers. Go to our Volunteer Page to find out more information.

We also wanted to make the process of finding an organization in which you have a specific interest in, as simple as possible by categorizing those organizations. You will also be able to find some immediate opportunities to volunteer for the coming weekend.  If you know of any non-profit organization needing help please let us know and we will post them on our website.

Secondly, for the last two years we have held a Benefit Concert/Auction to raise money for Operation Sack Lunch and PAWS. We will continue to build upon these successes and give money to charities helping people and animals.

CO-CHAIRS

Bobbie Lyons
, a successful Marketing Executive, and Paul Harvey McLaughlin a successful Real Estate Broker, have interacted together numerous times both professionally and personally over the course of 20 years.

Living Life Larger for others ... is a concept which will be utilized over and over for different needs within the surrounding community and hopefully our global society.

Their belief is that people have an innate goodness and want to give of themselves.

They decided it was time to make a difference in this world instead of watch friends, strangers and animals suffer alike. Why not set up a place where people can find out how they can volunteer or contribute to an organization of their choice while making it FUN to boot!

An incredible idea was born, “Living Life Larger” for others ... An opportunity for their friends and acquaintances to step-up from living life large to living life larger by giving personal time and finances to organizations that they truly believe will make a difference in our community.

ORGANIZATIONS SELECTED FOR LAST YEAR'S BENEFIT CONCERT - SUCCESS!

Operation Sack Lunch currently serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days per week to homeless children, women and men who call Seattle home. They prepare and serve more than 17,000 meals per month with a small staff and volunteers. They serve the majority of their meals at Seattle's Outdoor Meal Site which is located under I-5 at 6th and Columbia.

Making a Difference
To provide dignity, care and compassion through action with the example that each person can make a difference.

To educate and advocate acceptance and understanding of each other’s differences.

To ultimately bring about the realization that we are all a vital part of this world and with extended effort put an end to homelessness, hunger and hatred.

PAWS people helping animals
PAWS (Progressive Animal Welfare Society) is the leading voice for animals in Washington State and a recognized leader in the nation for its progressive outreach and education programs, legislative work, and premier wildlife rehabilitation and companion animal services. Through many collaborative relationships with organizations and individuals, PAWS is making a better world for animals.

PAWS envisions this world to be a place where all people recognize the intrinsic value of animal life, are mindful of the impact of their daily behaviours and choices on animals, and consistently demonstrate compassion and respect.

Living Life Larger for others ... objective is to get bodies in the door to learn more about these two great organizations and how they can help through volunteering and/or donating funds to help support their continued efforts. We will also have another booth that will provide additional information on other charities in Seattle that need volunteer help.

We are very excited about partnering with these two organizations and look forward to a long-term commitment to help support their work.
